About Our Team

Team "Charlie Brown" was formed for Pennsylvania's Wissahickon Valley Relay for Life event in honor of Charles E. Brown. Charlie was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in January of 2010. The disease had already advanced to his liver, lymph nodes and bone by the time of diagnosis. Through various treatments developed by cutting edge technology, Charlie was able to fight back, affording him a little more time with his loved ones.

Sadly, Charlie lost his personal battle with cancer, succumbing to the disease on November 17th, 2010. It is in his name that we, team "Charlie Brown" will continue to battle cancer. We are fighting to bring an end to this horrific disease by raising money to fund research, and an ultimate cure. It is a fight that Charlie would have wanted to continue himself if it were possible.

At the event, team "Charlie Brown" will camp out and team members will take turns walking around the track in an effort to raise funds to help create a world with less cancer victims and more birthdays.
Saving lives from cancer begins with one team, one participant, one dollar at a time. Team "Charlie Brown" is doing its part to make sure cancer never steals another year of any one's life.

Thank you for supporting our team by using the vendors on this site along with participating in the many raffles and events we plan in an effort to raise funds. The impact we make together will be much greater than what any one of us could do alone.
